Dr. Rawaa Riad Fassih

Pediatrics Neonatology

Chief of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Monla hospital. Involved in different research programs with interests in diagnosing and treating newborns having conditions such as breathing disorders, infections and birth defects. Dr Fassih provides comprehensive care for critically ill premature and full-term infants from birth until discharge from NICU. She is also a lecturer at Lebanese international university in department of medical science.

Dr. George Mollayess

Vitro-Retinal Surgeon & Ocular Oncologist

Head of Ophthalmology Department at Monla Hospital Dr. Georges El Mollayess is an Assistant Professor in clinical practice at the Lebanese American University Medical Center Rizk Hospital (LAUMC-RH). He graduated from medical school at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) where he continued his Ophthalmology residency. He did one year of medical retina fellowship at AUBMC after that he travelled to Montreal, Canada where he completed two years fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery and one year in Ocular Oncology. He has been practicing in Lebanon since 2016. His main area of interest is the treatment of retinal disorders: Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopahty, Retinal Vein Occlusions, Retinal Detachment, Vitreous Hemorrhage, Epiretinal membrane, Macular hole and Intraocular Tumors. He is a member of the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society (LOS) and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an author of over 16 articles in peer reviewed journals. 

Dr. Nadim Chakass

Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon

Dr. Nadim Chakass earned his Medical Doctor degree at Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco in 2000. He obtained his Diploma of Specialization in Vascular Surgery from Lille, France in 2006. During that period, he obtained many Diplomas in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery from Paris & Reims Universities. Dr. Chakass returned to Lebanon in 2007 to practice Vascular & Endovascular Surgery in Tripoli’s hospitals. He has successfully conducted more than 6000 Vascular & Endovascular operations during his 15-year career. Currently he is the Head of the Vascular Surgery Unit at Monla Hospital, Tripoli – Lebanon. He is a member of the Lebanese Society of Vascular Surgery (LSVS), the European Society of Vascular Surgery (ESVS) and French Society of Phlebology. He has been an active member of the Order of Physicians Tripoli-Lebanon since 2001 as well. Dr. Chakass has been a Professor at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health, Tripoli-Lebanon since 2008. In 2018, he obtained an Executive Masters of Healthcare Management (EMHM) from the ESA business school Beirut – Lebanon & EHESP Rennes University – France.
