Dr. George Mollayess

Vitro-Retinal Surgeon & Ocular Oncologist

Head of Ophthalmology Department at Monla Hospital Dr. Georges El Mollayess is an Assistant Professor in clinical practice at the Lebanese American University Medical Center Rizk Hospital (LAUMC-RH). He graduated from medical school at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) where he continued his Ophthalmology residency. He did one year of medical retina fellowship at AUBMC after that he travelled to Montreal, Canada where he completed two years fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery and one year in Ocular Oncology. He has been practicing in Lebanon since 2016. His main area of interest is the treatment of retinal disorders: Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopahty, Retinal Vein Occlusions, Retinal Detachment, Vitreous Hemorrhage, Epiretinal membrane, Macular hole and Intraocular Tumors. He is a member of the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society (LOS) and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an author of over 16 articles in peer reviewed journals. 

Dr. Bachir Abiad

Cornea, Anterior and Refractive surgeon

Head of the Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery division Dr. Bachir Abiad is an anterior segment and refractive surgeon at five different major hospitals in Lebanon. After graduating with distinction from the American University of Beirut Medical School, and completing his ophthalmology residency training there, he joined UT Southwestern in United States of America to complete a 2-year AUPO-certified fellowship in anterior segment, cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Abiad currently performs complex anterior segment reconstruction surgeries, all types of penetrating and lamellar corneal transplants: PKP, DALK, DSAEK (including the ultra-thin and nano-thin DSAEK), DMEK, secondary intraocular lenses and complex cataract surgeries. Moreover, Dr. Abiad is a refractive surgeon and is an expert in PRK, femto-LASIK, cross-linking, ICL, and intra-stromal rings. In addition to his solid training in excellent eye centers in Lebanon and USA, Dr. Abiad is a recipient of multiple prestigious national and international awards and has published more than 10 peer-reviewed articles, and is still actively involved in academic work with junior residents in university hospitals.

Dr Anthony Saadeh

Pediatrics Ophthalmologist

Dr Anthony Saadeh is a clinical teacher, residents’ program director at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, and students’ ophthalmology module coordinator.  He graduated from the Lebanese American University Medical Center (LAUMC-RH) where he continued his ophthalmology residency. He did one year of pediatrics ophthalmology and strabismus in Sainte Justine Hospital in Montreal QC.  He has been practicing in Lebanon since September 2020 with special interest in pediatric and adult strabismus, congenital cataract, congenital glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, retinoblastoma along with hereditary eye disease.

Dr. Nabil Nagi

Ophthalmologist

Graduate from the American University of the Caribbean & specialized in Ophthalmology from the Jordan Armed Forces, Royal Medical Services King Houssein Medical Center. He is practicing as a General Ophthalmologist in several hospitals in North Lebanon.
