Dr Roland Tannous graduated from AUB in 1992 as Medical Doctor. He then completed his residency in OB/GYN at AUBMC 1996, followed by a fellowship in Maternal- Fetal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Norfolk, Virginia.1998. His main interests during his fellowship were Fetal Echocardiography and Doppler studies. He started his private practice through "Tripoli Perinatal Clinic" in 1999. He is a reference in high-risk pregnancy and advanced Fetal Ultrasonography. Member or previous member of several international Scientific associations including: Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology,” Societe Francaise pour l’amelioration des pratiques Echographiques", International Soc of Ultrasound in obgyn (ISUOG) He was the president of the Scientific Committee of the Leb. Ordre of Physicians- Tripoli for several years & member of council of the Lebanese Order of Physicians- Tripoli.2010-2016 assuming several responsibilities: secretary, treasurer, Pres. Of the Social committee, Pres. and member of Professional ethics and Investigation committee. He also was President of the Surgical Society of North Lebanon for two years. 2009-2011. He was Founding President of NSOG, North Lebanon Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr Tannous is currently spending his time between his clinical, academic and Social Duties. He attends and contributes to yearly several scientific meetings, local and international. He is a member and ex-president of Tripoli Lions Club. He is an active member of AUB Alumni Association. He was previously elected as a member of World Wide AUB Alumni Association.
