Dr. Matta graduated from Saint Joseph University with an M.D. in Anesthesia and Intensive care medicine in 2008. A few months later, she joined the Monla Hospital and became head of its intensive care unit (ICU) in 2010 before leading the Anesthesia and Reanimation department from 2012 to 2016. In December 2020 she was appointed as a Medical Director.
According to Dr Matta, “ The 15 years spent at the Monla Hospital allowed me to witness and be fully part (or an acting part) of a rapidly growing hospital during some of its most challenging times. The institution’s expansion, that saw the addition of services and departments – Dialysis and Maternity for example –, as well as some infrastructure renovations and constructions like new operating theater and new floors – happened as we started to face the dramatic consequences of the country’s instability topped with those of the Covid-19 pandemic”.
In this context and with the current deepening economic crisis, the Monla Hospital, community oriented by nature, reiterates its commitment to serving the community, immediate and larger.
As healthcare providers we commit to treat our patients with the utmost degree of professionalism, safety, quality and compassion.
